O2 Sensor Voltage Chart

O2 Sensor Voltage Chart - I still have the same problem. There are numerous lambda calculators online. Oxygen concentration is only one of the variables. Instead the changes in voltage will be pretty smooth. The exhaust has a leak in front of the o2 sensor. Is it normal for the downstream o2 sensor voltage to be so high after driving?

No stft data is produced for down stream o2 sensor. On the other hand, when idling before the drive, it was a steady 0.3v. Oxygen sensors do not measure oxygen concentration, they work by switching from high to low voltage at the stoichiometric point. First graph is up stream o2 sensor voltage, second is down stream o2 sensor voltage, while the third is the up stream sensor short term fuel trim (stft). With the car stationary, engine warmed up, revving at about 1500 rpm i have captured this downstream o2 sensor voltage:

Wideband O2 Sensor Voltage

Wideband O2 Sensor Voltage

O2 Sensor Voltage Chart - After driving on the highway, my downstream o2 sensor voltage was a steady 0.8v, which is high. Does this mean i have a bad catalytic converter, or is there another explanation? The upstream o2 wideband sensor value (or rather its interpretation by the ecu) oscillates around 14.7. 2)every time there is a spike in the a/f voltage, the short term fuel trim would shoot up to compensate the lean condition. Oxygen concentration is only one of the variables. That is why it is not oscillating between 0 and 1 v.

The freeze frame data shows that the b1s2 oxygen sensor reads 0 volts. This could cause the sensor voltage to be lower than expected. To verify the o2 sensor works, i switched the two downstream sensors. The wiring or connector for the o2 sensor has corrosion in the connections causing excessive resistance. The problem didn't move with the sensor.

I May Be Wrong, But I Expect Down Stream Sensor Voltage To Remain Fairly Steady, While The Up Stream Should Fluctuate Instead.

Oxygen concentration is only one of the variables. Is it normal for the downstream o2 sensor voltage to be so high after driving? So in my case, there is nothing to worry about and the downstream sensor is working correctly. The freeze frame data shows that the b1s2 oxygen sensor reads 0 volts.

I Still Have The Same Problem.

To verify the wiring, i plugged the b1s2 harness into the b2s2 o2 sensor and it worked plugged into the other side of the car. Possible shorted or crossed wires. First graph is up stream o2 sensor voltage, second is down stream o2 sensor voltage, while the third is the up stream sensor short term fuel trim (stft). The upstream o2 wideband sensor value (or rather its interpretation by the ecu) oscillates around 14.7.

Oxygen Sensors Do Not Measure Oxygen Concentration, They Work By Switching From High To Low Voltage At The Stoichiometric Point.

With the car stationary, engine warmed up, revving at about 1500 rpm i have captured this downstream o2 sensor voltage: The following image clarifies my question. The ecm detects a low voltage in the o2 bank 1 sensor 3 circuit. Instead the changes in voltage will be pretty smooth.

Does This Mean I Have A Bad Catalytic Converter, Or Is There Another Explanation?

The downstream o2 sensor voltage oscillates between 0.2 v and 0.8 v at about the same frequency. That is why it is not oscillating between 0 and 1 v. On the other hand, when idling before the drive, it was a steady 0.3v. No stft data is produced for down stream o2 sensor.
